Auditions
Auditions will be held on May 30, 31, and June 1, 2008, at Sacramento State University, Capistrano Hall. Applications must be received no later than May 2nd (a late fee is assessed to all applications that are not postmarked by April 25th). Candidates are auditioning for a position within the entire SYS organization. There is often a limited number of spots open within each ensemble. Musicians may be placed in an ensemble where positions are open based on ability, difficulty of repertoire selected, and previous attendance if applicable. The adjudicators will use the following guidelines as a means to assess a musician’s skill level.
Audition Requirements by Instrument:
All rehearsals are held at Leonardo Di Vinci Middle School, Sacramento.
